The paint shop on the corner of Heliosgatan and Hammarby Fabriksväg, facing the Volvo dealership, opened one January day in 2017 when a group of childhood friends took on the premises at Heliosgatan 1. Since 2025 it has belonged to the Alcro Studio chain, and Alcro paint and accessories are what fill the shelves. Doors open at 06:00 on weekdays, following a decorator’s working day rather than ordinary retail hours, and close at 16:30. Saturdays run 09:30 to 14:00. Staff on the floor have long careers in the paint trade behind them and serve tradespeople alongside anyone painting a room for the first time. The loading bay and postal address sit around the corner at Hammarby Fabriksväg 29.
