A film screening in the library workshop for adults who bring their baby along: the film is made for grown-ups but moves slowly, and the title is emailed the day before to everyone who booked. A play area fills the front with chairs in a half-circle behind it, the room opens a quarter of an hour early, and the film stops for nappy changes and feeds. Only about four prams fit, so a sling or carrier is the easier way in. Fifteen places are booked, one per adult, children come without a booking, and there is usually room on drop-in even when it is full. The library puts out bananas and corn puffs for the children and coffee or tea for the adults.
