About

The building on Mårtensdalsgatan stands open 08:00–22:00 on weekdays and 09:00–20:00 at weekends, with reception shutting roughly a quarter of an hour earlier; through summer weeks 26 to 31 the house closes an hour sooner. The switchboard on 08-691 76 00 keeps almost the same schedule. Under one roof sit an upper-secondary school, a compulsory school and a folk high school alongside youth programmes. The foundation’s own account names dancers, basketball players, skaters, martial artists, film-makers, actors, singers and poets, next to those who come simply to talk and watch films. The café and restaurant are open daily, serving lunch between 11:00 and 13:00. Study visits are hosted on Tuesdays from 14:00 to 16:00, run about an hour and a half, and cost 5,000 kronor plus VAT, which goes back into the programmes.
